In order to prevent various pests and diseases in the cultivation and management of chili peppers, it is necessary to enter the seed disinfection before the seedling. There are two methods of seed disinfection, one is warm soup seed disinfection, the second is liquid seed disinfection. Specific operational techniques are as follows:

A warm soup seed disinfection

This is a simple and easy to implement seed disinfection method. Practice is: the seeds in a gauze bag (only half a bag, in order to stir the seeds), first of all, the seed bag put in the water in the dip for 20 minutes, and then fished up in 50 ℃ -55 ℃ of hot water, the amount of water for the seeds of the 5-6 times, and constantly stirring, in order to make the seeds evenly heated, and timely replenishment of the hot water, so that the water temperature to maintain the water temperature for a long time for 15 minutes, and then, let the water temperature drop to 30 ℃, and then continue to immersed for 5-6 hours, and then fished up and washed, and then continued to soak in warm soup. 6 hours, and then fished up and washed the mucus on the seed break before germination and sowing. Note: In the warm soup seed soaking, the water temperature and time must be strictly controlled to achieve both kill germs, but not to harm the seed. Processing temperature gauge must always be inserted in the hot water to determine the water temperature, in order to require regulation. When heating the water, remember not to rush directly on the seeds to avoid scalding the seeds.

  Second, liquid seed disinfection

This method should be aimed at controlling the main diseases and choose different liquid. At present, the production of commonly used solutions are: 40% formalin 100 times solution, 2% sodium hydroxide solution, 10% trisodium phosphate solution, 1% potassium permanganate solution and 1% copper sulfate solution. According to the reality of the region, the main seed disinfection is to prevent and control pepper virus disease, the current effective solution for the prevention and control of pepper virus disease is trisodium phosphate solution. Practice is: first soak the seeds in water for 6-8 hours, and then fish up and put in 10% trisodium phosphate (i.e., one city two trisodium phosphate to 1 city pound of water) solution immersed for 20 minutes and fished out, washed with water, at least 3 times, and then germination. Note: the time of the liquid seed immersion must be well mastered, not allowed to exceed the time. The purpose of germination is to ensure that the seedlings are fast and flush. Sprouted seeds ** wrapped in gauze for sprouting.
